CHINA APPROACHES FIVE COUNTRIES FOR MILITARY BASES: According to the Hong Kong Post, China has approached at least five countries to discuss the stationing of naval assets. If the report is true, China wants Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, and potentially others, such as the Solomon Islands, to be home to new Chinese military bases. China currently has only one known foreign military base, which is in Djibouti on the Horn of Africa, although they reportedly signed a secret agreement to use a Cambodian naval base.
