Greetings,
Coming up June first we will have completed a full 24 years of the Wichita Mission church, while we drive 60 miles to do it one way, it’s takes up most of the rest of the week to plan and do things in order to receive funding that is really never sure…yes never sure, most of you work a job where you put in hours and you know how much of a return you will get right?
Well we put in countless hour putting research about the end-times, breaking news, and finding information for talk radio in order to be the WATCHMEN that we believe we are called to do… Seriously I generally start at 1 PM and work till 12 AM yes I take breaks to eat but that is the in-office hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday it’s the Mission church in which while helping the people I am also keeping and eye on the news, in fact I make sure I check a couple of news sources before bed at around 3-5 AM….Yes I take the Sabbath off but most the time make sure I do a spot check as I am called to warn…the same on the first day of the week …. Hours I put in without worry or having a reward just FAITH that I am doing what we are called to do…you know folks the right thing..
Yes you are right we really have no what you would call personal life because HIS work is our personal life, we basically only interact with the poor we help and family…
But really there is a reward most people just do not understand….
Example: several different people who just happen to be Mennonites started giving in 2023…they may have before that but not much maybe a load of blankets they made…They know Biblical giving? What is that you say, that is giving to someone who cannot give back….then we take what they give and pass it on to people who really need it!
So what is the gain most everyone has to have some sort of gain…well we get the extreme pleasure of seeing one group greatly overjoyed with giving and then people who have gotten what they gave completely overjoyed….We get to see this and it’s wonderful!
Some of my greatness days of joy are simple being able to give out food and the various things we are given to give out! I cannot explain the joy we receive from giving ….
LUKE 14:
8When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
The above tells us these things and then of course we have the below which explains how we will be judged…at HIS return of course
Matthew Chapter 25
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
And how is it again I am able to do what we do…just read the below the saved will understand
1 Corinthians Chapter 9
19For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
20And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
So yes people say YOU have given up 24 years of your life caring for the poor and warning people with no guarantee of reward….well folks we seek not and earthly reward….and of course I have been blessed in my life to be married 38 years, children, and grandchildren, a roof over my head ( the one I rose 4 children in and still live in was bought for a little over $1,400 ….$300 was for the deed then taxes and paying someone money back that came to that…and most of all, sinners got to serve a KING!
I feel extremely blessed by what I do, and you know at 68 the people want me to get a big building so I can minister to them more and really so do I but all that is in HIS hands as I plan to serve as long as I can…meaning the rest of this life! IF only you could understand!
Lift us in prayer, help if you can
