Vice President Kamala Harris committed a terrifying gaffe while talking about climate change on July 14, and NBC's, CBS's and ABC's evening news shows failed to cover her colossal mistake.
In her July 14 speech at Coppin State University, Harris stated that “[w]hen we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water.” What made the gaffe even more ridiculous was a later transcript released from the White House that comically tried to run cover for Harris.
The transcript crossed out the word “population” and replaced it with “pollution.” However, the initial, insane statement by the vice president produced no coverage from the weekday propagandists at NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News and ABC’s World News Tonight during the July 14 and July 17 editions of their shows.
