He read the law regarding NARA and the Clinton “socks decision,” which clarifies the right of the president of the United States as it pertains to declassifying documents.
“The president enjoys unconstrained authority regarding the disposal of documents,” he read.
He added, “They ought to drop this case immediately because they’re destroying the country.”
Trump called the 37 charges against him “unthinkable,” and said that “what they have done to our lawyers” has been “absolutely horrible.” The president also called Jack Smith, the lead prosecutor in the investigation, “deranged”
He also said that the “sham indictment put forth by the Biden administration included staged photos of boxes at Mar-a-Lago.”
