Under Mason’s orders, which took effect in July, Massachusetts State Troopers who were fired for refusing the COVID-19 jab will see their License to Carry Firearms expire, and it won’t be renewed. Police officers and gun rights activist groups have slammed the anti-2nd Amendment enhancement to COVID-19 punishments, and question its legality.
“Please be advised that effective July 6, 2022, your Massachusetts State Police issued License to Carry Firearms…will be expired by the MSP and will not be renewed,” the letter, which was sent out on June 20th and obtained by local media, reportedly reads.
“You will no longer be permitted to have firearms, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, large capacity feeding devices, and ammunition in your possession,” the letter goes on to state, laying out numerous ways Mason is shredding the 2nd Amendment rights of his own police force comrades. “Possession of a firearm and/or ammunition without an LTC is a criminal offense,” he wrote, typing the term “criminal offense” in bold font.
Mason goes on to write that the troopers impacted by his order can transfer their weapons to a “person who is lawfully licensed to take possession” of them, or “surrender them” to their “local police department.”
According to Massachusetts media reports, all of the troopers fired under the vaccine mandate issued by left-wing Republican Governor Charlie Baker sought exemptions, but were denied, even under religious pretenses.
