The sole holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial has spoken publicly for the first time since the case ended in a mistrial, describing the killings of her three young children as a “methodical execution.”
Michael Desronvil told Fox News that he refused to join the other 11 jurors who favored a finding that Clancy was not criminally responsible due to mental illness. The trial concluded on September 4, 2026, with an 11-1 deadlock.
Clancy is charged with strangling her children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — with exercise bands at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on January 24, 2023. Prosecutors said she sent her husband out to pick up food and run an errand while the children were killed. The defense did not dispute that Clancy caused the deaths but argued she suffered from postpartum psychosis and lacked criminal responsibility.
Desronvil said the evidence, including video and courtroom testimony, showed a deliberate thought process behind the acts. “How methodical I thought Lindsay was in the execution of the children — that was really big for me,” he stated. He also cited the pain in the husband’s 911 call and the innocence of the children, whom he referred to as “the three angels.”
He denied claims from other jurors that he harbored reasonable doubt, saying he had substantial evidence supporting conviction and simply would not compromise. On October 1, a judge denied a defense motion seeking a required finding of not guilty, ruling that the evidence was sufficient for a rational jury to find criminal responsibility.
Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will retry the case.
