I was at Sam’s today to get a couple of things for Purim, (desert CHERRY PIE J ) my son had already did the Mission Church shopping so I was taking my time and noticed that beef quality beef prices in Sams was down, of course we at our house are like nowhere rich enough to eat the steaks like ribeyes etc but the prices are coming down, even round roasts were down! Maybe it’s because of gas prices dropping in 31 states below $3 a gallon and eggs down I hear about $1.88 a dozen! I mean we if we have a steak settle for an arm steak and once in a while a good chuck steak!
Anyway the wind today has gusts over 60 miles an hour literally hard to even walk! BUT the people are still coming! It is such a blessing to be able to care for them as serving them is SERVING YESHUA!
Boy I must have upset the dark side of things as we have had one bad attack after the other, one way we have a recurring problem with transportation! We thought we were in front of that because after our white Mission Truck blew up after years of pouring money into it, my wife said “ Let’s just buy one,” we had no money so we managed a loan spent more than we ever had on a good truck, it was great dependable and had less than 200,000 miles on it! By the time we paid it off and of course put tires on because it had nothing for winter we ended invested over $12,000 by payments…
It blew a timing chain this last week! Cost to fix I looked it up, $1300-$1700 plus parts $325 to $400, plus tax…then my son was underneath looking at it and wow transmission fluid all over the place. Looks like maybe a front seal…So to start with that going to be $4,000 to $5,000 to fix…we have NO funds for this period, we do not even have all our help here today because I had no room in the car for them! And it’s going to be very hard if not impossible to pick up our food donations!
No we are in a different place now and cannot afford a loan, broke like most of you, so really I am asking for prayers as we need to fix this vehicle, makes to sense to try and buy something else best to fix as we have money in this but no funds and most supporters I know are having a tough time also….
So please lift us in prayer, help if you can
