WASHINGTON, May 2. /tass/. The United States will no longer serve as a mediator in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and is waiting for concrete ideas on ending it from the two sides. This was stated at a regular briefing for journalists by the head of the press service of the State Department, Tammy Bruce.
“Secretary of State [Marco Rubio] also made it clear that although our style will change, the methodology of our contribution to this issue will change, we will not be intermediaries. <..And the nature of the changes is that we will not be [intermediaries], although we remain firmly committed to this and will help and do everything we can. But we are not going to fly around the world at the first call to mediate meetings," Bruce is quoted as saying on the State Department website. She said that now only Russia and Ukraine should deal with the issue of conflict resolution. "It is now up to them to present and develop concrete ideas on how this conflict should end.
