Greetings,
Please bear with me as it is with a heavy heart that I must write to you all. As you all know Pastor Dan has been in an ongoing battle for his health over the course of the last 2 years. I ask that you keep him and our family in your prayers, It is now looking very grim although it’s never about what we want but what the FATHER’s will is.
On Sunday afternoon November 2Nd Dad (Pastor Dan) was rushed to the emergency room via ambulance for fear of his life. While Mom (Sister Linda) went to be by his side throughout the ordeal and promptly kept immediate family updated. After evaluation and being stabilized they suspected he had caught a virus and it was decided to transfer him to Wesley Hospital in Wichita Kansas where his care physicians are located. Later that day he was admitted to CNICU as the combination of the stage 4 liver cancer, his diabetes, and the virus were working hard to keep him down. They ran a series of tests and blood work to find the underlying issues as to why he declined so rapidly. At first it was looking optimistic that he may be alright, however when the results started coming back on Tuesday that notion went out the window. Pastor Dan’s stage 4 cancer had spread throughout the liver and surrounding areas, they also found that he had a Bacillus Blood Infection which caused him to go septic. They determined that the infection had been caused at the time they put in his drain bag catheter. The blood infection spread so far through his bloodstream that they then determined it would keep coming back and wouldn’t be able to do anything unless he received chemo first. However, being so weak the chemo would likely kill him and could cause the infection to get worse. At this point there seemed to be no other option than to do a blood transfusion. The head of the department that makes those decisions went over everything and it was decided that his hemoglobin wasn’t well enough to perform the operation and she feared it would cause the loss of his life during the procedure, so she made the call not to proceed. After 2 long years of suffering and fighting Pastor Dan decided to make the call and go into Hospice putting it entirely in The Father’s hands. He was given one week to a month before the curtains close so to speak. Regardless of the outcome The Father’s work that Dan started after all these years WILL continue in order to GLORIFY YAHWEH! I myself (Joshua) will be transitioning into taking on his radio programs and the online presences for the ministry and mission church. While my younger brother, Elijah, will continue in the work with the physical operations and we will all be helping each other wherever need be. I ask that no one blame The Lord as I said before getting into all this that it is NOT about what any of us want, but about what the will of The Father is. Just keep Pastor Dan, the ministry, and our family in your prayers as you never know the lord CAN DO ANYTHING AS ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM AND BY HIM!
